The Outer Garment
But who can endure the day of His coming, and who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire and like fullers’ soap.
*It was recently confirmed to us that we are now in the season of sheep shearing (as described in Spoken Word from November 2013; Season of Sheep Shearing at Hand). It is suggested to read that word prior to reading this one, as it will help make more sense in understanding what the Lord is saying below.
The Lord wanted us to mention the process of what occurs after a sheep shearing, in order to best give greater understanding as to what He is about to do and has said about it.
After sheep shearing, in Biblical times, the wool is separated from the animal in one piece or a fleece often without previous washing (John 19:23). They are then gathered and then transported to a washing place. Oftentimes, it was a stony riverbed they were taken to because the stones were clean and free of other debris (ie. Sticks or straw) that would usually cling to the wool. The purchaser of the cleansed wool submits it to a greater extent with soap, or with another cleansing agent (ie. Fuller’s soap). It is then carded (where it’s brushed to be prepared for weaving) before spinning and weaving it.
The Lord has said in regards to all of this, “Since I have declared the season of sheep shearing in this hour, not only will there be an inspection of the sheep, as in a revealing but also a change in the outer garment (Job 41:13). All of their outer garments (their fleece) will be gathered and transported or caught up to a washing place. This outer garment, this cloak, this robe, is your body…the perishable (1 Corinthians 15:54). As I have told you before, I will release you of the bulky burden of debris caused by foundations not led of Me that I have placed upon you for My own purposes (Jude 1:23), for the set time to make evident, revealing it with fire, testing its quality, and the follow-up execution of burning up where there will be loss (1 Corinthians 3:10-13). This is also for the day of release and freedom that I have appointed (John 8:35-36). Those that have work that abides will receive a reward. I will take My people to a river that will make them glad (Psalm 46:4); where there are already stones that have been made clean and continuously walk in My freedom, My living stones. You will not be disappointed, for you will have attained My precious value (1 Peter 2:4-7). In this final cleansing, My Son will submit you further. My Son is the purchaser of you (Galatians 3:13; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20). As in My order, all things are to be subjected to My Son (as you’ve done by My Spirit), and now My Son will subject Himself under Me as you abide in Him (John 15:7), and now I will become all in you, as I AM all in all (1 Corinthians 15:27-28). This order is considered the process of carding. After I have fully cleansed you I will clothe you with My own garment, the garment of salvation; and I will array you in a robe of righteousness (Isaiah 61:10). Your outer garment will now display your inner garment of linen (Ezekiel 44:17; Revelation 19:8; Zechariah 3:3-4; Daniel 12:6-13). The two will become one (Ephesians 5:31-32). The final aspect will be the knitting together of those that are truly Mine (Colossians 2:1-3). I will knit you and form you into the new creation in its entirety and all will see it and all will know Me as the Creator, Who has created all things (Colossians 1:16; John 1:3; 1 Corinthians 8:6; Nehemiah 9:6; Isaiah 65:17).”
I will hiss for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them: and they shall increase as they have increased.
I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught upto the third heaven.
Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity,
And in sin my mother conceived me.
6 Behold, You desire truth in the innermost being,
And in the hidden part You will make me know wisdom.
7 Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;
Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
8 Make me to hear joy and gladness,
Let the bones which You have broken rejoice.
9 Hide Your face from my sins
And blot out all my iniquities.
Hear what the Spirit is saying…
