In the recent ‘repost’ it was mentioned that there are some connections to what’s happening in the oil industry now and oil elsewhere as well.  If you recall, in March 2019, the Lord had us post an article about the olive trees dying in Italy. Watch-Tower: Italy’s Olive Trees are Dying  There was also a message along with that.  You can refer in our previous posts to find it.

Anyway, GOD IS SPEAKING clearly about oil…the world’s supply of oil versus the oil from the Lord.  Be wise (Matt. 25:1-13).  There are no coincidences here.  God is reducing the cost of the world’s oil before your eyes!  Prepare now to get oil in your lamps by being led by His Spirit in all things.  These worldly resources do not last.  There is no real worth in them, as men think.  The ONLY investment one should put their time and resources into is GOD.  Everything else will pass away…

Proverbs 21:20 Precious treasures and oil are in the dwelling of the wise, but a foolish man consumes them.

To consume is to take in, eat, or burn up.  Do we not consume olive oil?  Do we not burn up oil?  What is God saying here?  He’s not talking about earthly treasures of oil in one’s dwelling.  He’s talking about the Holy Spirit in one’s being (dwelling).  The treasures come with the Wisdom of God (Prov. 8:11; Isa. 11:2; Eph. 1:17; Ex. 31:3; Col. 2:3).  The oil of this world is being consumed.  The cost will effect those that have put their trust in it.
