Pay attention to what’s happening in the Middle East. There’s nothing new under the sun(Ecc. 1:9).  God is using such a time as this to deal with the pride of men, especially men that have come into power, not acknowledging the Sovereignty of the Lord over all things… including their positions. Nebuchadnezzar did this and God made it known that he was but a fool, and he turned back to God. However, his son Belshazzar, made the same mistake and continued on in his foolishness.  Medes in the Bible is modern-day Iran. This is a warning that God will use to deal with men in their prideful hearts, not acknowledging the Lord. He is releasing the writing on the wall (Daniel 5). Those that are seeking other means to comprehend this time, other than seeking God on it, will not understand the purpose. The key is humbling oneself, as was told to Belshazzar.

Your kingdom will be divided…if one isn’t humbled before a fearful God.
