WRITTEN WORD

God’s Power and Glory

9/7/13

I am going to begin with a couple of Scriptures that pertain to the power of God which is working and is increasing at this very hour throughout the earth.  They both cover the power of God, or His sovereignty, which I have spoken before in a previous voice memo.

Romans 9:14-18

Israel’s Rejection and God’s Justice

14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? Certainly not! 15 For He says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion.” 16 So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy. 17 For the Scripture says to the Pharaoh, “For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth.” 18 Therefore He has mercy on whom He wills, and whom He wills He hardens.

Psalm 115:1-3

Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us,
But to Your name give glory,
Because of Your mercy,
Because of Your truth.
Why should the Gentiles say,
“So where is their God?”
But our God is in heaven;
He does whatever He pleases.

God wanted me to speak about His power and glory that is now being manifested in the earth and will continue to grow.  These Scriptures indicate and give somewhat of a clue as to what this entails (which is very different then what many may think and will be surprised about as the days continue).  Many do not know what they’re really calling forth, when they speak of God’s power and glory and they have been deceived into believing that it will be ‘wonderful for them’ (from a worldly perspective of course).  It will be wonderful and great, but FOR GOD.  God will do this in order to give glory to His name and make clear to ALL that He is God, a holy God (Ezekiel 20:9, Ezekiel 20:14, Ezekiel 20:22, Ezekiel 20:25-26,Ezekiel 20: 36-38, Ezekiel 20:41, Ezekiel 20:43-44).

Romans 9:14-18 reveals the power of God.  This is a power that no man will have nor be able to work in, as it’s a power that only God has.  In verse 17, it indicates that God created Pharaoh the way that he was in order to demonstrate the power of His control over all people.  He raised him up to harden his heart.  And as the verses go on, it says that He has mercy on whomever He wills and hardens whoever He wills.  In other words, God is about to reveal the knowledge of His power to all people.  His people will know and understand this power and control in the coming days, that they had no actual control over how things have manifested in their lives (as God had His plan all along, Proverbs 16:9; Proverbs 20:24; Jeremiah 10:23).  In addition, people that God will deal with by hardening their hearts and judging them in wrath, they too will know that it’s God causing the calamities in their lives because there will be no way out of it, where mankind can help them AND God will be making it known among the earth who are truly His.  All will know God one way or another, either through light or darkness; through peace or calamity (Isaiah 45:5-7).  And THIS is how He’s going to get glory for His name, through this form of power being made known among the earth.  It will be righteous and just, no matter what people may want to think in their own eyes.  And this will fulfill Psalm 115:1-3.  God will do and can do whatever He pleases.  This will confound many.  As there’s been a great lie that people believe they can choose Christ, but they cannot.  The only way they can choose to follow His Son, is if God has chosen them, and when He is ready to draw them unto His Son, He will (John 15:16; John 6:44).  And also, when He’s ready to turn others or harden their hearts, He will do that too.  This is where the great falling away will occur (Matthew 24:9-10; Mark 13:10-13; Luke 21:10-19; 1Timothy 4:1).  It will not be a falling away because people chose it but because GOD CHOSE IT all along.

There will also be many that will turn to Him that are His that have never claimed to know Him because the knowledge of His power and glory will increase on the earth (Isaiah 45:4).  When this release of the knowledge of God comes these people will begin to see who they are (God’s true people) and will burn with passion for Him (Malachi 4:1-3; Luke 24:32-35).  On the other hand, there will be many that have even claimed His name or to walk in the faith that will suddenly grow cold and turn.  Why?  The reason is God has allowed it by His power (John 13:18-30).  As God continues to increase HIS glory and power in the earth, people will reject it (even people that claim His name).  This is in order to reveal their vain hearts (Isaiah 45:18-19). They will also reject it because it didn’t come as they thought or were taught.  Some He will have mercy on and many will curse His name because of the sudden calamity that will come upon them (1 Thessalonians 5:3).  His true people in this hour will grow in great fear of Him by what He does and will become thankful for His mercy and loving kindness, that He has chosen them to be His.

God has allowed for these things to happen for His name’s sake, for His glory, and to reveal the power of Himself so ALL may know Him as GOD (I AM).  Again, He forms the light and the darkness; He makes well-being and creates calamity.  HE DOES ALL THINGS.

What is occurring now is the knowledge of God is increasing on the earth (Daniel 12:4).  What has occurred in the natural is also occurring in the supernatural.  It is like a flood of knowledge.  This is how He’s going to lift up the covenant that He has made through His Son, like the ark of the covenant (Joshua 3:6).  The waters being the knowledge, glory, and power of God in His name.

Genesis 7:17-20
Now the flood was on the earth forty days. The waters increased and lifted up the ark, and it rose high above the earth. 18 The waters prevailed and greatly increased on the earth, and the ark moved about on the surface of the waters. 19 And the waters prevailed exceedingly on the earth, and all the high hills under the whole heaven were covered. 20 The waters prevailed fifteen cubits upward, and the mountains were covered.

*God’s knowledge of Himself as I AM will increase and lift up His covenant by the power of His Spirit (John 7:38).  His Living Word (Christ) prevailed and the knowledge of God’s Power will increase on the earth (1 Corinthians 1:24).  The ark (or His covenant) will move on the surface of the waters (on the surface of the Holy Spirit).  His covenant will rise up from the waters just like a baptism.

Do not overlook His glory and power in the earth now.   As it may be working in your life already as we speak but you’re not recognizing it or mistaking it as something that is not for good.  Open your eyes and see!  Do not harden your hearts because you don’t like it.  As this way of responding then only reveals that you never wanted His glory to be His.  Hear what the Spirit is saying…
