18 Very truly I tell you, when you were younger you dressed yourself and went where you wanted; but when you are old you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go.” 19 Jesus said this to indicate the kind of death by which Peter would glorify God. Then he said to him, “Follow me!”
Maturity in the Lord has a lot to do with doing what God wants and mostly what you would not ‘normally’ want to do yourself or would do ‘yourself.’ However, this is what Jesus said about how Peter would glorify Him—after being REINSTATED. Being led by the Spirit in ALL things isn’t what you’d call easy. Anyone else telling you otherwise, hasn’t truly fully walked by His leading. Maturity comes with not doing what you want.
Some are in a place of being reinstated. But now it’s time to walk in the places He wants you to go. No more denial before men!
Been picking up the challenges some are going through now in their walk. God doesn’t make it easy but impossible looking, so that HE gets all the credit.
