What is God saying here?

There’s a foolish saying about lightening never striking the same place twice, which actually means that a VERY UNUSUAL EVENT IS NOT LIKELY TO HAPPEN AGAIN

Here’s what God is saying in this:

Ecc. 3:15  That which is, already has been; that which is to be, already has been; and God seeks what has been driven away.

Thunder and lightening were often associated with God’s wrath.  (2 Sam. 22:15; Job 28:26; 37:4; Psalm 135:7; 144:6; Zech. 9:14).  It also symbolizes God’s majesty (Rev. 4:5) and judgment of God on the world.

Lightening also is associated with the voice of the Lord (Ps. 29:7).

The lightening struck the area 11 TIMES.  The number 11 can symbolize ‘hid’ (Gen. 3:9-10), or also ‘where art thou?’ This expresses the first time God called unto humans as He did with Adam and Eve after they disobeyed God.  God is calling out to His people.  Are you hearing His call, or are you hiding from Him, in your sin?
