The riches of God…
An excerpt from “The Trumpet of the Swan”:
“Louis had been told once by his father what happened to deep-sea divers when they go far, far down into the ocean. At great depths, where the pressure is great and the watery world is strange and mysterious, divers sometimes experience what they call ‘the rapture of the deep.’ They feel so completely peaceful and enchanted, they never want to return to the surface. Louis’s father had warned him about this.’ “Always remember, when you dive deep,” he had said, “that this feeling of rapture can lead you to your death.”
Was reading this part to our daughter today, and the Lord spoke loud and clear through it. Of course, this is a fictional book, however this that was spoken of is actually a real thing that occurs in deep sea diving. But there’s SO MUCH prophetic here, that it’s important to share.
God calls us to the deep things of Him:
Psalm 42:7 Deep calls to deep at the sound of Your waterfalls; All Your breakers and Your waves have rolled over me.
And as you do go deeper in the things of God, there WILL be a sense of pressure upon you, even for those that are not searching it entirely at the time of God’s wooing. The Holy Spirit will allow for pressure to be put upon you, so that you may press into Him closer for understanding, to the point that you cannot bear it any longer, that you must respond to Him, or else…
Once you’ve truly entered into the deeper things of the Lord IT DOES seem strange and mysterious because His ways are not our ways, nor are His thoughts (Isa. 55:8-9). They’re mysterious to us because we have to relearn how to live, more so, how to live rightly in the sight of God through obedience. In the fleshly state, this is strange. We learn the mystery of Wisdom…
2 Corinthians 2:7 No, the wisdom we speak of is the mystery of God—his plan that was previously hidden, even though he made it for our ultimate glory before the world began.
The ‘rapture of the deep…’ That sounds awfully similar to a term many use that do not have full understanding of, the ‘rapture.’ There’s a scripture in Revelation 1:10 which says, ‘I was in the Spirit [rapt in His power] on the Lord’s Day…’ (AMPC)
God speaks through all things, if you’re listening. There is NO coincidence that this term was called this AND associated with going into deep waters. God was speaking. The rapt state is really being taken away or ‘swept’ away metaphorically/and spiritually, by God’s Spirit. And, you DO and CAN get to a point where you are at peace with God in righteousness and enchanted (or filled with delight, Psalm 37:4), to the point you don’t’ want to ‘return to the surface.’ This surface state is the carnal nature, or shallowness. God sees the carnal nature as shallow. Even though it’s considered at the top of the water, it’s actually seen as being low in nature to Him, or worldly/devilish:
This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.
In the excerpt from the book, it states that it was warned that it could lead to YOUR DEATH and when reading a little further, it shares you’ll get to the point you’ll ‘forget’ to return to the surface to breathe again. However, this is what God actually wants… our death of ourselves, so He can live fully in and through us (Matt. 16:24-25; Luke 14:27; Rom. 6:4-8; Gal. 2:20; John 3:30-36). We won’t forget to breathe. He will breathe for us as the life-giving Spirit.
1 Corinthians 15:45 Thus it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit.
Hear what the Spirit is saying…GO DEEP and learn of His Wisdom. See the mysteriousness of God’s infinite Wisdom. Experience the rapt breath of God. Breathe where no man can breathe but He can.
