The recent tragedies at Mount Everest have gotten much attention lately because there has been so many losses. However, there’s something that God is trying to show in these signs. In response to these fatalities, a mountaineering company representative had a very significant comment about why it’s occurring. He said, “Many of those attempting to climb Everest were not well-qualified or prepared climbers and lacked the support necessary to ascend and descend safely. If they were with a strong and experienced team, they would likely have been fine, but with minimal support, once something goes wrong, it’s tough to get back on course.”
God speaks in everything. There are many trying to climb the mountain of the Lord (Isa. 2:2-3), but many are falling in this hour. The reason for that is: they’re not qualified or prepared by the Lord truly, they lack support or do not fully trust God as their Rock (Ps. 18:2; 31:3); They instead lean unto their own understanding (Prov. 3:5-6). Therefore, they cannot truly climb or navigate effectively on the mountain. And because their support lacks the true support of the Holy Spirit of God, and those that are led by Him in righteousness, they cannot maintain their walk on the narrow path (Matt. 7:13-14). Like it was said, “It’s tough to get back on course.”
Those that have fallen in this hour will have a difficult time getting back on course. By God’s mercy alone will it be, if He allows them the chance to return. May they see it, when it comes…
3 And this we will do if God permits.
4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, 5 and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6 if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.
7 For the earth which drinks in the rain that often comes upon it, and bears herbs useful for those by whom it is cultivated, receives blessing from God; 8 but if it bears thorns and briers, it is rejected and near to being cursed, whose end is to be burned.
