God is VERY CLEAR Not to Change His words

June 5, 2019

Pope Francis made this big change to Lord’s Prayer

Revelation 22:18-20

18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll. 19 And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.

20 He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.”

God is VERY CLEAR not to change His words.  Jesus taught us how to pray by this prayer, the Lord’s prayer.  What people do not want to see because of idolatry in their hearts is, God CAN lead you into temptation (as He did that with His Son in the desert, the Holy Spirit led Him into the desert TO BE TRIED, Matthew 4:1).  And in this trial, led by the Spirit fully, He overcame. It says in 1 Corinthians 10:13:

No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

God can allow you to fall if you do not obey His leading AND He can lead you into temptation, but it clearly says He will also allow a way out…by His Power of the leading of the Holy Spirit; and He tells us to pray to deliver us from evil.  To deliver, is to rescue.  How does He do that?  He does this by His faithfulness, His strength (Zech. 4:6), and His protection through it all (2 Thess. 3:3).  One that does not want to believe ALL of what it said in the Bible, what is written already, regarding the truth of God’s sovereignty is not of the Truth!

Do not be deceived!  (Matt. 24:5, 11; John 5:43)
