Exodus 15:3 The Lord is a man of war; the Lord is His name.
Psalm 18:34 He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze.
Complete obedience in the Lord strengthens you to fight the spiritual battles. God is a man of war. If you do not learn to not entangle yourself in the fleshly ways by and through Him, His Spirit, then you will not know how to please Him. We deal with principalities (Ephesians 6:12), not what you may think we are dealing with. To not truly understand this is comparable to a soldier that hasn’t gone through boot camp.
2 Timothy 2:4 No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs, but rather tries to please his commanding officer.
Don’t try to please men today, but God first, in your choices. Don’t crumble under the world’s pressure. Otherwise you’re just another civilian and not a true soldier at all.
