I also heard the Lord say in prayer tonight…”an open torch is lit to expose all that is hidden.”  I had to look up the term ‘open torch.’  An open torch is defined as what is used for testing equipment and not for making specific pieces that you intend to keep.

I heard with this ‘ignoble purpose,’ along with this.

2 Timothy 2:20-21 In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for special purposes and some for common use. 21 Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work.

Why would God say this?  Because God is about to use the ‘common use’ instruments as open torches to expose things for His glory.  These will be individuals that are considered dishonorable to God but will be used to test things before the Lord, to see if others will do what is right in the sight of God.  And, once they have accomplished what He wants for His purposes…to expose all that is hidden, He will not keep them, meaning they’ll be removed or discarded from some place/position.  Then the light will show what has been hidden in the darkness.  Nothing shall be left unturned.

Some would say, ‘oh, God is using them!”  Absolutely!  As it confirms His Word here.  Everything on earth has a purpose for His glory.  For we have a sovereign Lord.  God can do whatever He chooses.
